As part of our commitment to developing confident and compassionate Early Childhood Teachers, Cavalli College is proud to integrate Moving Smart’s Movement Matters course into our Early Childhood Teacher education programmes.
Our first intake of student teachers at Cavalli College marks a significant milestone in our partnership with Movement Matters, a course developed by Moving Smart that underscores the vital connection between movement, child development, and learning. This course has become a key component of our teacher education curriculum, deepening student teachers’ understanding of how physical movement underpins every aspect of a child’s holistic growth and learning. Through Movement Matters, our learners engage in practical, research-informed approaches that support children’s natural drive to move, explore, and learn. We are proud to integrate this course within our Early Childhood Teaching programmes and, importantly, through our face-to-face Learning Hubs, where learners put theory into action, reflect on their teaching experiences, and collaborate with peers.
Learners will discover the science of movement in relation to early childhood learning and gain an understanding of the Kinetic Scale, Moving Smart’s proprietary pedagogy for the well-balanced physical diet children need each and every day. Learners will explore key strategies for leveraging movement for learning in the classroom with practical examples and teaching techniques. Cavalli College learners will engage in Moving Smart curricula woven into their ECE teaching curriculum and graduate with the additional Moving Smart certification.
