As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on a year of development, growth, collaboration, and achievement at Cavalli College. From the dedication of our learners, who have embarked on their educational journeys with courage and determination, to the unwavering support of our team, stakeholders, and community, every milestone reached has been a true collective effort.
Together, we are enabling learning, growth, and achievement that inspires purpose, passion, and difference-making in communities.
This year has been truly transformative for Cavalli College. We proudly transitioned from Arise Academy to Cavalli College and achieved a Category 1 NZQA EER rating – both significant milestones that reflect the quality, integrity, and collective effort across Cavalli College.
In Early Childhood Education, we undertook extensive national sector consultation to develop qualifications designed with the sector, for the sector, underpinned by a new, innovative curriculum that reflects the latest evidence, workforce needs, curriculum, research and teaching practice. We gained NZQA approval for two new teacher education programmes, launched these qualifications, welcoming our first ECE cohorts – marking a major step toward strengthening the quality of the ECE workforce at a time of national need. We have also submitted two further ECE qualifications for NZQA review, continuing our commitment to building clear, accessible pathways that lead to Teacher Registration for our learners.
In Health and Wellbeing, we celebrated the graduation of our first international learner, continued strong success across our programmes, and commenced consultation for new higher-level pathways to better support our learners, the sector, and the national workforce. We also continued our advocacy for funding to ensure more learners and communities can access our Peer Support and Mental Health and Addiction programmes.
Our Foundations programme continues to support young people, enabling them to discover their passions and strengths, build self-management and communication skills, and find their identity.
At the centre of all sits our why – empowering people to turn their passion into purpose, and purpose into meaningful change for themselves, their whānau, their communities, and the sectors they serve.
None of this would be possible without the people who stand with us. To our learners, staff, sector partners, community organisations, and all who believe in outstanding education and learner support, Cavalli College is proud to serve you – thank you!
