Cavalli College marked a truly special milestone on Sunday, 12 October 2025, as we hosted our very first Early Childhood Teacher Education Learning Hub in Auckland, officially launching our New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care programmes.
It was a day filled with excitement, connection, and inspiration, the culmination of months of planning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence in early childhood teacher education. “These programmes have been shaped by professionals with decades of early childhood years of experience who care deeply about the sector, and by the latest understanding of how children learn and thrive”, said Nicole Robbins, General Manager of Cavalli College. “They reflect our shared belief in intentional teaching, attachment, movement, and the importance of nurturing each learner’s sense of wellbeing and belonging.”
As part of the day, learners in Auckland shared their hopes, aspirations, and determination to succeed in their studies. Their passion and purpose shone through every conversation, setting a powerful tone for the journey ahead.
Pearl D’Silva shared, “We’ve got an exceptional group of learners, and we’ve made wonderful connections and shared the joy of today. I can’t wait for our learners to revel in the wonder of being an early childhood teacher, to feel the excitement in every discovery, and the confidence that comes from going back to the basics.”
Throughout their studies, learners will build confidence and capability through Cavalli College’s innovative learning model, which combines online learning, hands-on professional centre experience, and collaborative face-to-face Learning Hubs. They will be supported by passionate and experienced lecturers and a dedicated pastoral care team, committed to helping them succeed both academically and personally.
This first Learning Hub marked not just the start of a qualification, but the beginning of a journey, one where learners will grow into confident, caring, and capable professionals ready to make a real difference in the lives of children and families across New Zealand. We look forward to further welcoming Wellington and Christchurch learners who will attend their first Learning Hub over the next few weeks.
